Surp Pırgiç Armenian Foundation

Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital was founded under the leadership of Kazaz Artin Amira Bezciyan, with the initiatives and support of leading members of the community.

Founded in 1832 with the edict of Ottoman Sultan Mahmut II, Hospital began providing services on 31 May 1834 once construction and outfitting works were completed.

Despite of the financial and organizational challenges it faced throughout the history, our Hospital has managed to continue its services uninterruptedly till today. Credibility and social responsibility have been the two main principles which guided and steered the works of our Hospital throughout this period.
